 | | | Mounting your 12:1 zoom system is an important part of the whole setup and merits detailed consideration, especially when adjusting focus at the same time. A coarse focus block will be acceptable for low magnification only. Fine focusing is needed when using objectives with 5X or more magnification as front end. Both focusing blocks allow direct mounting of the 12:1 zoom module, no afdapter needed. When using 10X or higher objectives you mighr consider moving to a much sturdier pole mount with 38 mm diameter. Or, if your equipment supplies a vertical plane to attach to then flange mount offers the ultimate in stability. By adhering to dimensions used on Mitutyo’s FS70, Motic’s PSM1000, Qioptiq’s A-Zoom, and others you get a low cost alternative, for example to many probe stations.
