Objectives for Upright - Biological Microscopes,
160 mm tube length International DIN standard, parfocal distance 45 mm, Standard DIN 0.7965" (20.1 mm) diameter threads, 36 TPI, 55° Whitworth Fixed tube length microscopes dont allow insertion of a thick optical component between objective and eyepiece. Consequently they dont offer the flexibility of an infinity design where insertion of a component between objective and tube lens doesnt change the length of the optical path. That allows infinity scopes to take advantage of different accessories without changing the design.
